The hotel has a total of 270 rooms which are divided into Standard & luxury items. A hotel 120 rooms with 5-star facilities began operating on Sept. 01, 1977. After the successful operation of 12 years, it is necessary to strengthen the size and facilities of the hotel.
Now, an extension consisting of 150 luxurious rooms and suites has been constructed (designed to harmoniously with the distinctive features of Lal Durbar) to complement existing accommodation, lifting the total number of rooms available within the hotel to 270 rooms.
With the historic properties of the hotel and new and upgraded facilities, the Yak & Yeti will continue to be the city's leading leisure and luxury business hotel. Despite being an extremely modern hotel, the traditional Nepalese architectural features have been preserved.
